Same old rubbish
How many times is this guy going to release a greatest hits album with the same old rubbish. His fans must be suckers to keep paying out. He should have retired years ago, well past his sell by date. File with Des connor and Westlife in rubbish bin 2008-12-25
Cliff is ageless! Superb!
Had to buy this double album to celebrate Cliff 50 years in music - I already have all the tracks but it was so good to listen to this compilation. It took me back but as the compilation is so well arranged it was so good and made me feel very happy to listen to the tracks. Saw him on "Songs of Praise" on Sunday 7 Dec - he is as popular as ever. His concert tickets sell out in no time - he is timeless! A well prepared compilation album which I am pleased I bought. 2008-12-08
Another Greatest Hits ISSUE
Great tracks on this CD although they have been released many times the songs still sound ace and for me the early Cliff and the Shadows tracks were the 'Dogs Biscuits' and brings back the musical soundtrack of the 1960's together with the Beatles and Stones, I won't go into the merits of each track (hooray you shout) but I will order this CD even just to annoy her indoors. By the way I am listening to AC/DC Back in Black CD what a ace CD, while am writing this, anyway back to Cliff this CD is worth buying for less than a tenner and it also has some of the more recent tracks.
Go on do yourself and also order AC/DC Back in Black CD at same time as Cliff's new CD (forget Guitar Hero listen to the real thing or at least buy a guitar and try to learn to play)

Classic hits for a remarkable 50 years BUT the CD sound...
This compilation is one of a handful of compilations Cliff Richard's Chart Hits evolve from his hundred plus hits. As it happens 50 have been chosen for this 2CD compilation highlighting a remarkable 50 year span Career! AND this compilation is no exception to former 'Greatest Hits' from yester years.
The music on this double CD is just sheer classic hits, they just keep on coming!
I am also a keen 'music' listener to the ears and the CD sound quality on this CD is a major let down, because many of Cliff's classics have all been recorded in stereo (Listen to 40 Golden Greats 2CD) but here they are in mono!! why? This is 2008! They sound like cleaned up 7" vinyl with a hint of psuedo stereo, synthesize tiny effect. Very badly remastered. Out of all the songs featured on this compilation only 4 tracks exists or were recorded in mono only and they are 'Move It' 'Living Doll' 'Travellin' Light' and 'Please Don't Tease'. Classic songs like 'Costantly' 'Minute you're gone' appear in stereo on other compilations eg 'Love Songs' '40 Golden Greats' CDs.
Sadly it seems EMI missed an opportunity of releasing a DVD compilation of archive/promo videos for Cliff's 50th.
Never the less, Cliff deserves this kind of compilation of his big hits to portray his 50th year in showbusiness, which is highlighted in this 2CD set. 2008-11-03
Simply Fabulous!
This release is a stunning chronological celebration of the best of Sir Cliff Richard's 50 year career. I have thoroughly enjoyed his absolute mastery of every genre of song and the sheer diversity of his repertoire. Wonderful and genius, his charisma and enthusiasm shine through every note he sings throughout this definitive compilation. Long may Britain's most beloved pop star reign supreme! Sheer class! 2008-10-31
