Decade in the sun
I love stereophonics, great band. This album hasn't got all the songs i would have liked, but when i went to see them live it didn't matter. Just looking, dakota and devil where my favourite songs live. If you love Stereophonics, you'll love this album :) Im addicted to this album now 2009-01-01
Stereophonics-You're are My Stars
What makes a good 'best of' album? A stomping romp through all the bands key songs which highlight their songwriting capability? excellent voices and musical abilities? The ability to take you back to each and every time you first heard their songs? YES.
Thats what I think, and that why I have given this album 5 stars.
The 18 tracks we know & love are on here (including Handbags which is a nice treat) and two new tracks, You're My Star and My Own Worst Enemy. Both great songs, YMS is well written and obviously from the heart about Kelly Jones' daughters, and MOWE is cowritten by Adam Zindani and Kelly Jones and is a rocking track which has become a firm favourite of mine.
I would highley reccommend this album for fans and non-fans who will become fan after listening to this.

missing a few
This is a strange compilation. It`s sizable to say the least, reflecting the great body of fantastic material the Stereophonics have released over the last decade or so. And yet, it falls slightly short of being a definitive stocktaking exercise - which surely it aspires to be. I`m not sure about the inclusion of new tracks that haven't been properly road tested (this is, after all, supposed to be a best-of). Adding (or swapping) a handful of tracks might have done the trick. For instance, Daisy Lane, Bank Holiday Monday and Lady Luck from the under-represented 'Pull The Pin'; Hurry Up And Wait, T-shirt suntan and the terrific Not Up To You from 'Word Gets Around'. So, overall, it`s 4 stars for the compilation, and not for the music itself, which of course scores max points. 2008-12-16
Best Of The Best...
Ok, first off im a big big fan of the phonics right the way through the last 10 years. This album is crammed with excellent songs, and 2, in my opinion great new singles which not many people have touched upon. Own worst enemy is full of that energy, and and my star is a brilliant sort acoustic sound, but both excellent additions by the boys. Ok, so the album could have had so many other great phonics songs... but you can only fit so much on one cd! for avid fans i'd recommend the 2 disc addition, but for anyone looking for a great collection of some of the phonics best known hits.. this is for you. 2008-12-10
missing so much good stuff
other people have mentioned strangely missing 'greatest hits' tracks. but what about "Since I told you it's over" - heart-wrenching uber-pop somehow ended on the cutting room floor. Odd to say the least. 2008-12-02
