Reviews Great Collection This is a great compilation of songs. I used to have all of the Annuals by MoS and recently put them all on Ebay as there were a lot of duff tracks in there. My personal view is buy this and MoS Anthems 2 and you will have a strong collection of great dance tunes - perfect for the car. 2008-12-24 ok but not as good as thought Thought would be great but disappointed, haven't got through full album before turning off before finished. Some classic sounds. 2008-12-12 Fun Not being a big dance fan, this was the first such compilation I've bought and I like it. From reading other reviews on here it sounds as though Ministry of Sound have become somewhat lazy and greedy in their compilations, but as a collection of commercial dance songs in one package this certainly suffices for the casual listener. It was the fifteen or so tracks I already knew (grace, chicane, underworld, darude, roger sanchez, jakatta, daft punk...etc) which I bought this for so I'm certainly not disappointed I bought it. Enjoy! 2008-12-07 Mixing goes from quite good to terrible... I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this. When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output? 2008-05-21 Adequate for someone who likes chart dance music It bemuses me why negative comments towards most dance compilations always say 'same stuff repackaged' - dont buy it then!! The song lists are provided beforehand to give you an idea of what songs and genres are included. This compilation, though not the best for someone who prefers less commercial music is good to put on in the background or in the car. It serves its purpose well. 2008-03-26 |
