 Country Christmas Various Artists
There are a lot worse albums around than this easy-going collection of country & western versions of favourite Christmas songs. Opening with Trisha Yearwood's silky-smooth version of "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting...)" it does lull anyone for whom C&W is not their favourite cup of meat into a false sense of security. Even Loretta Lynn does second cut, "White Christmas", no harm, and Lee... |
Once Upon a Christmas Dolly Parton
Unlike the slightly inferior version of the album currently available in America, this UK release is a straight re-issue of the original album, with six duets and four solo tracks - two each by Kenny (Silent night and The Christmas song) and Dolly (White Christmas and a medley of Winter wonderland and Sleigh ride).

Play it and feel the joy of Christmases past - when it snowed, when the day was a welcome release from hard labour on the land. Coppin takes an annual tour and plays the songs from A Country Christmas. Like Fairport Convention he should be made into a national music institution.... |
 The Christmas Collection Johnny Cash
I am a fan of johnny cash his voice is superb,i have many of his albums, but this one im sad to say is awful in most of the tracks johnny is talking more than singing.it is so slow and lifeless for cash.I am hugely dissapointed with this album and will not be listening to it again for a christmas cd it is very depressing.I wish id have bought another of his albums instead instead please dont waste your... |
Once upon a Christmas Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton
One of the Best Christmas Albums of all-time. I have the C.D ,and the video, and the cassette. I play them every xmas and it just gets better. Dolly wrote most of the Carols and they are as good as the old classics. Great songs ,well sung by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Very seasonal . Love it!!! | |
