 The Best Of Sash!
if your a Sash! fan then this album is a must even if you have the albums the remix is ace well worth the price of the album The Best Of |
Ministry of Sound Anthems II Various Artists
Yes yes, Ministry of Sound put out plenty of albums, particularly classic ones, and seem to get plenty of flack in the reviews (!), but honestly this is brilliant. I was given Anthems I for Christmas last year, and that was pretty good, but this follow up is even better. Mostly because it digs out some of the brilliant but not often seen tracks like DReam, S Express, New Order, Orbital and Billie Ray... |
 We Started Nothing Ting Tings
The debut album by Salford's The Ting Tings comes hot on the heels of their No.1 single "That's Not My Name", a nugget of pop gold that comes on like a genetic splicing of Toni Basil's "Micky" and The Knack's "My Sharona". The bulk of We Started Nothing follows a similar formula, navigating a path between the smart, angular indie of CSS, Bonde Do Role, et al and the pop mainstream. Here and... |
 Catfights and Spotlights Sugababes
I bought this CD mainly because I wanted 'about you now'. The track on the CD is nothing like the single and I feel it's a cynical attempt to make you buy the single as well. Very disappointed. |
 Doll Domination The Pussycat Dolls
I'm not sure why there isn't an option to give half stars on these reviews, but if it was possible I'd give this album four and a half. The half is deducted purely because it's just too long - I think most people would agree that 18 tracks is too many, whoever the artist. By removing four or five of the weaker tracks they could have created the perfect album. That said, I was pleasantly surprised to... |
 Hurricane Grace Jones
Nineteen years between albums is the sort of gap usually reserved for in-it-for-the-money reunions, but Hurricane--Grace Jones’ first album since 1989's Bulletproof Heart--suggests an artist who hasn't lost one shred of her disco nous or imperious command. Recorded with a string of collaborators including Brian Eno, Tricky, Tony Allen, and Wendy And Lisa of Prince's band The Revolution,... |
 The Ballads Mariah Carey
...the record company left a few other underrated gems like "Never Too Far" which was the second single from "Glitter" and many more from her previous catalogues.
I think the proper title should be "the incomplete ballads" or "evil marketing-ploy for stocking filler ballads" since Christmas is just around the corner. What a pity. Still a great collection but not an excellent one. |
![The Annual 2009 [2CD + DVD]](http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51cMjKdI6DL._SL75_.jpg) The Annual 2009 [2CD + DVD] Various
So so good, Ministry deliver once again, puts me in a brilliant mood every time i wack it on! Loads of instant classics on here and every so often a nice fat slice of pop(you know you love a bit of basshunter really!)

Now You're Gone - The Album Basshunter
The story of Swedish producer/DJ Jonas Erik Altberg’s--a.k.a Basshunter--rise to fame makes for some compelling reading. He started out making tunes on basic equipment in his bedroom and putting them out via the Internet. After releasing his debut album through his home page, he watched it chart all over Europe. Altberg then managed to get into the Dutch Top 40 with a single ("Boten Anna"), quickly... | |
