Westlife Live at Croke Park [2008]
Westlife Live at Croke Park [2008]

I look forward to each CD release, but even more to each DVD release to watch the Excellence of Westlife live.
These young men can really sing (live and studio) and frankly are unmatched in providing excellent entertainment in concert.
The Live from Croke Park dvd is the best yet and the others were all great.
A high energy beginning, my absolute favorite portion was The Easy Way....
Pink - Live From Wembley Arena [2007]
Pink - Live From Wembley Arena [2007]
Pink

Slick and earthy at the same time, Live from Wembley Arena picks up where Live in Europe left off. In this case, Pink, looking like Wendy O. Williams in black eyeliner and blond crop, is captured in one London show, circa December 2006, rather than in highlights from several. Since the first live DVD, she released her fourth album. There is, naturally, some overlap between the two videos--notably,...
Girls Aloud - Tangled Up Tour 2008
Girls Aloud - Tangled Up Tour 2008

The show itself is not that great, the girls can't really sing live and I can't understand why they really wanna sing Every Heartbeat with the endless (dis)harmony intro. It's really cringe-worthy but not as bad as the unplugged version on a B Side they did.
Anyway, the design of the dvd is really top-notch. This is what the Tangled Up album should have looked like. The front, back, the great...
  Elton John - Red Piano
Elton John - Red Piano

the other night Elton rocked Manchester with this great show. I have never seen or heard anything as amazing as this. it was an absolute joy. Naturally any DVD cannot capture a performance as good as this but as a souvenir it is perfect. Until that night I had never really rated Elton but now I have to say I am a fan. What a showman he truly is.

Awsome dvd, with an excellent performance by the great Celine Dion. Her voice sounds flawless, the whole show is amazing and the backstage & bonus footage is very very interesting.Lets you realize the whole concept from the inside, not just simply watch the show.Very inspiring for all artists.Definitely worth the buy.
  ABBA - Gold
ABBA - Gold
ABBA

I have been an ABBA fan since my teens (70s)! The sound quality of this recording is exceptional and I really appreciated the second disc which has all the less popular songs (which happens to be my favourites) on it. I would really recommend this collection of 2 CDs and DVD to any ABBA fan! It is the best recording (sound quality) i have ever heard of all the ABBA LP's or CD's. GET IT NOW!!!!!
PS...
Roy Orbison - Black And White Night
Roy Orbison - Black And White Night
Roy Orbison

Few early rockers were more gifted or less honoured in their prime than the late Roy Orbison, whose vaulting tenor and vulnerable love songs conjured heartbreak and desire with operatic intensity. This 1987 concert special came two decades after Orbison had retreated from pop's front lines, yet neither Orbison nor his music coasts on mere nostalgia: in every respect, A Black and White Night...

Boyzone - Back Again - No Matter What - Live 2008 (NTSC)

I was at this concert with my daughter and was thrilled that they recorded it. I bought this DVD for her Christmas present and have watched it with her. What great memories! I hope they record the next concert in Manchester in June 2009.
One Giant Leap - What About Me? [2008]
One Giant Leap - What About Me? [2008]

1 Giant Leap has created a unique music, TV and film project. Featuring an incredibly diverse collection of collaborators from Noam Chomsky to Will Young, Maxi Jazz to Tim Robbins, Billy Connolly to Michael Stipe. What About Me? is the culmination of 4 years' work by Duncan Bridgeman and Jamie Catto. They visited 50 global locations collecting wisdom and musical jewels. Then they...

Take That - Beautiful World Live [Blu-ray] [2008]
Take That - Beautiful World Live [Blu-ray] [2008]
Take That

I would give the DVD 5 star rating too. The program is awesome. Take That is in it's best form, and concert is wonderfully conceived.

I trained myself to perceive buying something I like on a Blu-ray, after I already have it on a DVD, as an upgrade and not double-dipping. As such, I expect it to actually BE an upgrade...

Unfortunately... it was lit for the in-house audience...
